1.1 Title: Ubiquitous learning log: How can we learn from past learning experiences? 1.1.1 Abstract: I will talk about a mobile learning system for capturing and recalling learning log called SCROLL, which supports the learner to capture learning experience as a learning log, share and reuse them with other learners. This system provides the learners with appropriate information contents in their learning environment. The initial evaluation of applying this system in an undergraduate English course will be presented. Although the number of the subjects was small, statistically significant effectiveness of SCROLL was detected, comparing to the group without using the system. 1.1.1 Bio: *Hiroaki Ogata* is an Associate Professor at the Department of Information Science and Intelligent Systems, the University of Tokushima, Japan. He was a visiting researcher at L3D at University of Colorado at Boulder from 2002 to 2003. His research areas include Mobile and Ubiquitous Technologies in Education and CSCL. He has been the recipient of numerous Best Papers awards, for example, from WebNet 1999, ICALT 2006, CollabTech 2008, and mLearn 2009.
